12/1/2022 0 Comments Mafia 2 chapters![]() MEH! I will hope that at least the modding scene will salvage the PC version in years to come. Really poor script, filled with every single gangster cliche(Even the one "Your sister's husband beats her, go James Caan on his ass!") and it doesn't even get the mobster aspect right! Not even the story, which should be the main hook, is that good. Mafia 2 is the biggest disappointment this year for me in gaming. Seriously, there's at least an hour worth of gameplay in which resolves around you driving home, so you can go to sleep. ![]() Thrill with the excitement of DRIVING HOME! There is no bigger mafioso experience then driving home! I actually believe that the dev team put in a sandbox world just to make you drive home after every single chapter. Well if it isn't, why the fuck bother with giving it a sandbox environment? Atmosphere? Setting? Neat I guess, but it doesn't change the fact that it adds nothing to the game besides scenery. Why bother giving a "big" city, do absolutely nothing with it, then when people come wondering all the fans come out of the woodwork and say "IT'S NOT A SANDBOX!". Just remember how badly this truck handles, and drive accordingly, so that you don't draw any unwanted attention to yourself.Click to expand. Now someone will come in and scream at you "IT'S NOT A SANDBOX!!!". As always, follow the directions provided on your HUD, and you'll get to the new location in no time at all. It's time to drive over to your next destination anyway. Joe doesn't push it, and obliges the cop's request. Joe sells him a carton of cigarettes (which you will have to retrieve from one of the crates in the back of the truck), but then the cop warns Joe to get out of here. This is a police sergeant, and he seems to be in on this game. When the civilians have had their fill, a police car shows up, making most of the people standing around scramble. It's easy enough to tell the red, white and blue cartons from one another, but if you need help, simply keep an eye out for on-screen prompts that let you know what color of carton you're currently standing in front of. Joe will yell orders back to Vito in the truck, and you'll need to deliver up the proper color of cigarette carton for him. This seems kind of small time, especially for someone like Joe, but there's still money to be made in illicitly-sold bulk cigarettes, selling at $2 a carton (a nice fee in 1951). It's as if they knew you'd be there (because they did). When you've arrived at your destination, people will begin to gather around the truck. You'll be happy know that Joe apologizes for the events of the previous night, for what it's worth.įor the time being, your task is a simple one. So take it easy, and drive towards your destination slowly-but-surely as Vito and Joe speak. ![]() If the latter happens, you'll attract police attention, and you'll be wholly unable to make a getaway from them in this vehicle. Don't take corners quickly, or drive too fast, or you're bound to crash or run someone over. As a result, you're going to need to adjust your driving techniques. This truck is heavy, moves slowly, doesn't stop on a dime, and is overall completely unruly. Get in the truck and begin to follow the directions provided to you on your HUD. The truck he has is full of cigarette cartons, and we're gonna go ahead and sell them.įor starters, we're going to have to drive to the location shown on your map. Joe's friend is now gone, but Joe is still there. Work your way to the bureau to get some clothes on (we went with the leather jacket and pants), and then walk outside. Vito rises from out of bed, and works his way towards the window to find Joe and a young friend of his outside. Suddenly, he'll hear a beeping horn outside, accompanied by voices (one of them unknown to him) to come downstairs. As this chapter begins, you'll spot Vito in his bed, sleeping off the bad memories of the ridiculous night before. ![]()
